Observation Manager 
Maybe Observation Manager should come with the entire VSX catalog, which includes GCVS 4 and about 137,000 more variable stars.
Thanks for that suggestion, Christopher. Do you know a place where I can download the entire VSX catalog?

Simple download it all and start with readme.txt, all astronomy catalogs is very self-explanable.
