New language available: Spanish

Spanish flag With the amazing work of Gonzalo Cao Cabeza de Vaca, Observation Manager is now translated into spanish (in version
1.121). As ~450 million people in the world speak spanish, this is a tremendous step forward in making Observation
Manager available to its users in their mother tongue.

Spanish is the 9th language, in which you can run Observation Manager.

Italian Translation available

Besides the already announced finnish translation in 1.121, the new version will also contain an italian translation.
Again a user volunteered to translate Observation Manager into his mother tongue. Thanks Luigi Pirozzi for your efforts,
making Observation Manager better accessible for italian speaking users!

French translation

French Flag waving Again a volunteer did a great contribution to the Observation Manager project.  Denis Bailly (from
http://www.astrolabo.com) translated Observation Manager into french, making it the 6th language supported by
Observation Manager.

Observation Manager 1.020 – Release Candidate 1

Observation Manager 1.020 – Release Candidate 1 is available to download!

The version should be stable, however some problems can occur. If you want to give feedback on the upcoming Observation Manager version, please use the forum, the bug tracker or e-Mail me via the website.

New features in 1.020:
- Dutch and french translation
- Horizontal sky map with object position during observation time
- Mark equipment as unavailable (if e.g. sold or broken)
- Save window sizes
- Tons of usability improvements and bug fixes

Today I wanna raise a request to you. I need your help to translate Observation Manager into more additional languages.

Currently Observation Manager is available in 4 languages:
- English
- German
- Russian
- Ukrainian
but we wanna add more. If you like the project and want to support it, please contact us.

Supporting the ukrainian language

Again thanks to the great work of Igor Dulevich (and Oleg Maly) Observation Manager 0.920 will come with support for the ukrainian language! This makes it the fourth language supported by OM (English, German, Russian, Ukrainian).

So if you wanna translate OM in your mother tongue, don’t hesitate to contact us!

We speak russian!

Thanks to Igor Dulevich (member of the amateur astronomy club “Astropolis”, Kiev/Ukraine), Observation Manager 0.920 comes with a russian  translation. Igor did a tremendous work and translated everything from user interface, XSL files, hints…everything. Thanks again Igor!

So what about you? Is your mother tongue french, spanish, italian, …….. you could help the Observation Manager project by translating the software!

Also native english speakers that volunteer to “polish” my english translation are more than welcome!
